Sada Shrine, located in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, is said to be a place where the eight million gods gather. Renowned as the Ninomiya (Second Shrine) of Izumo Province, it has a long and distinguished history and has been cherished by the people of Matsue for centuries. The enshrined deity, Sada-no-Ōkami, also known as Sarutahiko Ōkami, is one of the four most revered deities in Izumo Province. The deityis believed to offer divine guidance that supports a joyful and prosperous life—blessings such as protection from misfortune, good fortune, longevity, safety in land and sea travel, and peace in land development.
