Established in 1927, the building is a registered tangible cultural property and is said to have connections with former Prime Minister Inukai Tsuyoshi and renowned printmaker Munakata Shiko. The inn’s interior combines the nostalgic charm of its origins with a modern design that offers contemporary comforts. There are a total of eight rooms, including Japanese-Western style rooms renovated in 2024 and a detached building featuring an open-air bath. The inn boasts a rare hot spring experience, allowing guests to soak directly in the "spring water that naturally emerges from underground".
