Farm Gelato from the Nature Rich "Naruko Onsenkyo" Area
Located about 11 minutes by car from the renowned Naruko Onsenkyo in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, and roughly 7 minutes from the roadside station "A・la・Date na Michi no Eki," Naruko Farm was established by a former elite finance professional who acquired approximately 33,000m² of land and developed what had been abandoned farmland from the ground up, driven by a commitment to carrying agriculture into the next generation; gelato here highlights local flavors, including blueberries grown on-site, junmai ginjo sake "Yukiwatari" brewed with regional rice and spring water, and "Megumino" Naruko Kamihara dairy milk, with an additional option of chili-infused gelato offering a distinctive contrast.
Rich Gelato Balanced by a Light and Clean Finish
Surrounded by the natural beauty of "Naruko Onsenkyo," known as one of the "Three Great Hot Springs of Oshu," this gelato is made on a farm spanning approximately 33,000m². It features a rich yet clean finish and is carefully crafted using milk from the local Naruko Kamihara area, hot spring water, and seasonal ingredients sourced from the region.
Farm Story Carrying Vision and Hope into the Future
"Naruko Farm" began with the owner’s commitment to carrying agriculture into the future, by purchasing approximately 33,000 m² of previously abandoned land and personally developing it from the ground up. Gelato made with blueberries grown on the farm and other seasonal local ingredients reflects both the region’s flavors and the dedication behind the land.
