Savor Exceptional Ōmi Beef from a Specialty Restaurant
Founded in 1897, this long-established restaurant began when an Omi beef butcher shop opened in front of the former Otsu City Hall and later added a dining space where Omi beef dishes were served. The butcher shop eventually closed as the business shifted entirely to the restaurant, which continues today under its fourth generation, presenting cuisine centered on Omi beef. Particularly notable are the fillet and loin cuts of Omi beef, aged to bring out their full flavor. A wide selection of wines chosen by the owner, a senior sommelier certified by the Japan Sommelier Association, is also available. The refined interior with a Japanese atmosphere includes rooms overlooking a garden, creating a relaxed dining setting.
Ōmi Beef Junjun (Sukiyaki)
A popular dish prepared by simmering selected Omi beef premium loin with only white sugar and soy sauce. The carefully chosen Omi beef loin features fine marbling, creating an exceptionally tender texture.
Ōmi Beef Full-Course Experience
Course meals featuring Omi beef offer a satisfying dining experience. The popular course "Tachibana" includes Omi beef roast beef, a choice of Omi beef fillet steak or Omi beef sirloin steak, a choice of Omi beef sukiyaki or Omi beef shabu-shabu, followed by udon, rice, Japanese salted pickles, and dessert.
