Steam Locomotive Rides Operating on Weekends and Holidays
The 9600 steam locomotive, manufactured in 1920, and the D51 steam locomotive, manufactured in 1938, are preserved in working order on the premises. Visitors can experience riding in the caboose three times a day on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Another sought-after activity is the cab experience (limited to one group per session on a first-come, first-served basis the same day), allowing entry into the driver’s seat and the chance to sound the whistle.

Adjacent to Moka Railway Moka Station for Full SL Views
The distinctive Moka Railway Moka Station building incorporates a steam locomotive gallery, with access to view the engine shed and turntable. Together with the "SL Kyuroku Museum," the setting presents multiple vantage points for observing steam locomotives up close. It is also the base for the "SL Moka," where a C12 steam locomotive runs one round trip per day on Saturdays and Sundays (Priority given to reservations).
The Majestic 9600 and D51 Steam Locomotives
In addition to the "9600-type steam locomotive" (Kyuroku), which is preserved in working order, you can also admire the "D51-type steam locomotive" (Degoichi), known as the "King of SL" among Japanese steam locomotives, running majestically on the tracks within the premises. Railway enthusiasts fix their attention on the long-awaited steam locomotive on display.
