A Roadside Station in Yugawa Village, Fukushima—Known as "The Heart of Aizu"

Opened in October 2014, "Michi-no-Eki Aizu Yagawa-Aizubange" is located in Kawanuma County, Fukushima. Developed jointly by Yagawa Village and Aizubange Town, it is a rare roadside station in Japan that brings together the distinct features of both communities. Local specialties and regional cuisine from the Aizu area are featured, attracting many visitors from the surrounding region as well as travelers. Positioned along National Route 49, which connects Niigata with the Aizu area of Fukushima, the location offers convenient access and is frequently used by travelers and those in the transportation industry. In recent years, the number of visitors from outside the prefecture, particularly from across the Tohoku region, has continued to grow.
